What Fans are Saying:
I loved your CD. WOW what talent you have. I loved all the music but really enjoyed the ones you wrote and would love to hear the stories on the lyrics – they were great! I want to get one for my sister too so I’ll catch up with you.
I listened to the first five tunes today. Very, very nice!
I had to listen to your album last night when I got home and I have to say – very impressive. Great songs, great writing, great vocals, great guitar work (yours!), great tone!
Hi Pat, please save two of your CDs for me. I would like to give them as gifts. L. and I are extremely impressed with the entire CD. Spent Yesterday is, and has been ever since I first heard it, a fantastic song that is as good as anything any folk singer has ever done. Its a classic!
I think it is very enjoyable listening. The instrumentals are exceptional and the vocals – mellow and relaxing. Thanks for a great cd. Hope you put another out. It will be nice listening when I have friends over for an evening.
Very nice work. Excellent production values!
Pat Folkner’s debut album, “Spent Yesterday” is a pure treat! This artist has a musical proficiency admired by other seasoned artists, while the “listening-only crowd” enjoys the simplicity of her clear vocal tone, her guitar virtuoso, and the emotional cadence of self-penned songs like the title track “Spent Yesterday”. Her songwriting wraps around topics of ‘harvesting what you sow’ in a subtle manner as she allows her audience to enjoy the music and also contemplate how one spends their time. This collection spans from the boppy humorous little number of “Recipe for Love” to the traditional classic “Poor Wayfaring Stranger” in Pat’s smooth fashion. This “do-it-yourself” artist has “done it”. Single handedly, she has created and self-produced a fine piece of work for all to enjoy!
